Description (last modified by danielk)

Hi,

With Library API version: 0.19.20060226-1, Source code version: 9225 I 've got the above mentioned error. During channel scan the following error messages show up:

New High level CI handler

The last 4 rows also show up with the stable version, but channel scan and watching TV was fine. With the above mentioned SVN version I got the following messages attempting to watch TV:

New High level CI handler
2006-03-03 08:40:23.073 TVRec(1) Error: Failed to set channel to 10001.

Most likely, your DefaultTVChannel setting is wrong.

2006-03-03 08:40:23.076 TVRec(1): Changing from WatchingLiveTV to None

The channel 10001 exists in the database! Some other applications (Kaffeine (Xine) and MPlayer) are working fine (except user space HLCI handling)

Thanks for looking at this error!

Fiete

I need "mythtv-setup -v record, siparser, channel" log. Please use the latest revision, and specify which revision you used (this code use undergoing serious refactoring.)

Please attach this log and then reopen the ticket.

I'm using version 9258. Mythtv is configured like: --disable-lirc --disable-firewire --disable-ivtv --enable-dvb --dvb-path=/home/elly/inst/manu/cgi-bin-hgwebdir-cgi-v4l-algo-test-2e23535f0c95/linux/include/ --enable-dvb-eit

It looks like this log is missing these "ERROR: too many CA system IDs!" messages.

I think you may need to redirect stderr in addition to stdout.

output of stderr included now.

Thanks.

Hmm, it looks like we are getting these messages before we've even added any CA system IDs.

I'm going to need you to find the revision where this broke. It should be sometime in the last two weeks.

This error will occur when you have not applied the patches to the twinhan drivers - http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/linux-dvb/2006-January/007452.html

Also can you verify that the linuxtv-dvb-apps utility dst_test functions correctly for all modes and retrieves correct information about your cam.

..then this is not a MythTV bug, rather it is a not yet implemented feature of new high-level DVB drivers for your card.
