#2688 closed patch (wontfix)

Fix for ac3 passthrough glitch with timestretch

Reported by: cizek@… Owned by: danielk
Priority: minor Milestone: 0.21
Component: mythtv Version: head
Severity: medium Keywords:
Cc: Ticket locked: no

Description

I use ac3 passthrough into a dolby system. If I adjust timestretch <> 1.0 mythtv disables the ac3 passthrough. If I then set timestretch back == 1.0, mythtv will re-enable passthrough but the audio then skips and drops out and I have to exit the recording and restart to watch normally. The attached patch fixes this.

This patch breaks ALSA audio here, and the patch is also incompatible with #1104...

Works on this 0.20.2 setup with ALSA. Note, however, that I only use ALSA to the extent of AC3 passthrough; that is, I don't use analog audio within MythTV at all.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
