Description
Any kind of skip ahead/back or jump is broken. mythfrontend freezes and I need to kill the process and restart. I'm not the only one with this problem: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/323964
This seems like a regression because in a recent svn version before the move to 0.21, it was working.

Gentoo builds from your svn repository specifying rev 16658. I don't see how this is a gentoo problem if mythtv is malfunctioning after it is built. So you can tell me for sure that there is no problem with skip forward/backward when you compile using configure and make?
comment:3 Changed 16 years ago by
Alright, Daniel. What configure switch am I passing that's wrong? I had you review all the configure script options that I'm passing to the MythTV 0.21 build process on IRC.

I am having similar problem The freezing only occurs on programs captured from Free to air Digital Television. It was fine before the upgrade to .21 Mythtv is runnung under standard Ubuntu 7.10

The frontend freezes when I skip back quickly two times in a row. If I wait a second between each skip back, it works. It is quite annoying to have to reboot minimyth whenever I accidentaly trigger this bug.

Original bug reported fixed at http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214420
maalamb, marcus - Can you submit tickets with your issues, documenting the actual versions and backend logs associated with your issues?
In the thread you referenced, reinstalling fixed the problem. Which makes it likely that this is a build or packaging problem. Also you built using Gentoo ebuild, i.e. not using the "./configure ; make" process we support, so this should be reported in the Gentoo bug tracker, not here.
