internal dvd player: selecting dvd root menu returns "no menu available"

Description
Some dvds when selecting dvd root menu, say that the dvd menu doesn't exist. This is because of a problem of the dvd menu detection code, this code determines whether to jump to the dvd root menu or dvd title menu depending on what is available. Forcing the dvd to jump to the root menu in these cases works.
Going to change the dvdnav code to better detect the presence of a title menu or root menu. Will work on fixing this soon.
For those who run into this problem and need a workaround, see the patch attached.

My system still behaves as I reported on the user list on 3 May. Then it was a new problem. http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/332724 DVDs are from MythArchive? using MythCenter? theme with 3 titles to the menu page and 8 chapters per title. No selection box is ever visible on the root menu, but selection does work and the arrows at the page foot are correctly highlighted. Selecting the root menu from the OSD falls through to the chapter menu. Current mythfrontend --version output: MythTV Version : 17453M MythTV Branch : branches/release-0-21-fixes Library API : 0.21.20080304-1 Network Protocol : 40

Behaviour is still as I described above. Current MythTV Version : 19114M MythTV Branch : branches/release-0-21-fixes Doesn't really affect usability if you can count up to 3 but it's a defect and it would be nice to have it fixed.
The player hangups that used to happen sometimes during jumps forward or back on recordings from some DVB-T channels do now seem to have been cured: Thanks!

I see there are hints of new activity re DVD menus, so a quick update. The selection box is still invisible in the internal player when I create mytharchive dvds with static menus; with animated menus the boxes are visible. MythCenter? theme.
My comment above about hangups didn't, unfortunately, apply to all DVB-T channels. Film4, for one, is still affected. Will there be a backport of the new 'fix' to fixes?

recent changes now gives a separate "DVD Chapter Menu" and "DVD Root Menu" option. this should resolve this issue.

Sorry made a typo. should say Separate "DVD Title Menu" and "DVD Root Menu" option.
